Coke Studio Season 12 started today with a beautiful rendition of Hamd ‘Wohi Khuda Hai’ by Atif Aslam and fans are going crazy about it.

It was originally sung by the Legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and the Lyrics were composed by Muzaffar Warsi. The lyrics mainly highlight Allah’s supremacy who keeps balance and harmony in the universe.

Rohail Hyatt’s version of Nusrat’s kalaam has been well received and much praised by the audience.

Some celebrities also took to Twitter to praise Atif for his beautiful performance.

Atif Aslam dedicated his performance to his son. “I’d like to dedicate this performance to my son. He will grow up and listen to it. He will be proud that my father recited this hamd. I hope he understands what I said. I hope he finds his own journey and Allah in the process.”, Atif said in the BTS video.

He said while talking about the journey of his life, “I still don’t think I have made it. When I started, for the first few years, I used to think, with fame and money, I’d made it. But after that I asked myself, ‘What have you made? This is all material that you have.’ After that, the real search started. That is when the fun started. Even today, I am caught in that search. I will keep at it, always.”
