Coronavirus Latest Updates: The terrorist group ISIS is notorious when it comes to terrorizing and scaring people with violence. But recently, the global pandemic COVID-19 has turned the tables and haunted ISIS with its spread and consequences. ISIS has announced that all suicide attacks throughout Europe will be halted. It has advised all its bombers and fighters to maintain hygiene and avoid human interaction.
ISIS called Europe “the land of epidemic” and gave all the attackers a green signal to clear the infected land as it has become the most affected region by the virus recently. ISIS requested all its senior members and caliphates not to enter Europe so that they do not get infected. If the virus spreads within ISIS, it can very well be the end of it.
While not allowing new members to enter Europe, the West Asian terror wing of ISIS, which has in the past promoted operatives to plot terrorist attacks in Europe, also instructed those of its followers who may have become ill with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) not to leave the region as it might help in further spread of the disease. Any and all sick jihadists who are already in the land of Europe should stay there , an attempt to further sicken the locals.
ISIS has lost a lot of land in West Asia after a series of defeats from the military forces and law enforcement agencies. In recent proceedings, the intelligence agencies played a key role in eliminating special working groups of the ISIS from West Asia.
Despite all that, it remains active in its activities in Iraq and Syria in an irregular form. West Asia has also been hit by the virus outbreak, with Iraq reporting approximately 101 cases and 10 deaths from COVID-19 as of Sunday. The ISIS high ups are worried about the unrealistically swift spread of the virus, which can to crumble down a whole bunch of countries.
The Middle East terror wing also strongly advised all jihadists to run far away from a person infected with the coronavirus comparing to “as you flee from the lion.” It has asked all the militants to wash their hands with soap and avoid being nearby any person with flu or influenza.
ISIS released all this information through a newsletter. The newsletter calls Coronavirus a “plague” which ISIS described as a “torment sent by God on whomsoever He wills”. It further said that “Illnesses do not strike by themselves but by the command and decree of God.”
Just like global events like concerts and sports being cancelled worldwide, it seems that even terrorists are ‘postponing’ their evil mass-murdering idealization due to the novel coronavirus. We suppose, ISIS does not want one of their followers to contract with the deadly virus while they are carrying out their own deadly plans as it can wreak a havoc on the entire organization.
