Pakistan’s national Television, PTV forgets to include Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan as a part of Pakistan in one of their children’s programs on June 6.
In the show, the kid was showing the population division of Pakistan through the map, but surprisingly the map has not shown the areas of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
So Arshad Khan and Rashid Khan are running PTV with other appointees and they cannot fix a map, showing a map which shows Kashmir is part of India, on a childrens show? Why? We are forced to pay for this channel run by incompetent buffons! pic.twitter.com/VbExSZF1Jf

Is it a mistake or a conscious move?
There is a wave of distress and disgust all over social media. Twitter users are not in a mood to let go of this incident again as this is not the first time.
In one of the PTV’s promo, they termed AJK as “Pakistan occupied Kashmir”.
Again? This looks as if its by design, @shiblifaraz must take notice. @fawadchaudhry this does not look like a mistake. Whats the millions taking management of Rashid Khan and other duffers doing there? pic.twitter.com/uc4cEtSSqn

Later on, Indian media started using this term in their news coverage of AJK.
State run television network #PTV map shows Kashmir and Gilgit_Baltistan is not part of Pakistan, pathetic.
If your top organization's managment is so incompetent then why protest with India to show such maps. pic.twitter.com/NpHT4FIRS1

This is national TV of Pakistan @PTVNewsOfficial giving away Kashmir to India
Thankyou so much PTV for promoting Indian Narrative
If this is the condition and level of awareness of PTV then we should let private media channels go scot free @AsimSBajwa pic.twitter.com/LSA1takwcu

Moreover, In 2011, one of the leading brands Nestle Nesvita aired the incomplete map of Pakistan. while advertising the ‘Women of Strength’ campaign. However, after facing severe criticism Nestle was urged to change the map and revise the ad.
Besides Nestle, Khaadi made the same mistake in 2017. they showed Kashmir as a part of India in their clothes. After this blunder from Khaadi, Pakistani decides to boycott their products. Afterward, Khaadi publicly apologized and removed the product from the shelves.
Netizens are condemning the so-called mistake of the national television of Pakistan. People on Twitter are demanding the Minister for Information Senator Shibli Faraz and other authorities to take stern action against the management of PTV.
Manjan nhe bhaicho yahan twitter pe. Those who are responsible; terminate them tomorrow. It's a shame for all of us as a nation. Our dumbest national TV is showing such content. Shame on PTV, Shame on @shiblifaraz
Hon'ble PM Imran Khan its request to plz take this into notice
— Ahsaan Khan (@iamAhsaanKhan) June 7, 2020
Sadly, Google is filled with hundreds of maps without showing Kashmir a part of Pakistan. Such cases happened when the government does not crack down immediately.

Reactions from authorities and politicians
That is to say, no statement came from Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz on the issue. However, to tackle this matter PTV has said “It will take strict notice against the misrepresentation of the map of Pakistan.“
PTV management has taken strict notice on the human lapse resulting in the airing of incorrect image of Pakistan map. The MD PTV has said that the organization has zero tolerance for such negligence and has assured that strict action will be taken against the responsible.

Further, Shireen Mazari also shares her words regarding this matter.
Absolutely unacceptable but this keeps happening due to sheer carelessness and lethargy – just Google a map and use it without checking. Sadly few here realise importance of maps. I am sure @shiblifaraz will not only take note but will end this way of getting things done in PTV. https://t.co/fkzkgmy5l8

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry banishes the MD of PTV citing the value of Kashmir for Pakistan.
Shameful…. Arshad Khan heading PTV since decades seems he forgot he is chairman n defacto MD of PTV not DoorDarshan… expect @shiblifaraz to take all measures to teach them what #Kashmir is meant to Pakistan….. https://t.co/QJ2aU61GlB

Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh Javed Nayab Laghari blames the PTI government and said:
PTI Niazi Govt comprmised on #Kashmir we all knew but today #PTV has shown the intention, Kashmir was never been priority of Niazi Govt & finally they dismembered Kashmir from Pak map. Shame pic.twitter.com/yLyvhETqoY
— Javed Nayab Laghari (@JavedNLaghari) June 7, 2020
People keep criticizing the management of PTV for such an irresponsible act.
So after the begging episode now state run @PTVNewsOfficial showing in a map that #Kashmir & #Gilgit_Baltistan are not part of Pakistan. Seems still hold of dumb management in ptv and "aavay ka aava bigda huwa hai".@yasirhunzai1 @ImranKhanPTI @CMGBPK @ManzarShigri pic.twitter.com/TY3hRARi4Y

How does PTV get Kashmir wrong in 2020?
Simple: PTV is staffed w lifetime employees accountable to no one & whom the courts & politicians will protect.
Most MNAs or Ministers or opposition members or members of the media orthodoxy can't or won't say this.
There's no point.
— Mosharraf Zaidi (@mosharrafzaidi) June 7, 2020
Is that mean MD will take action against MD?
When you were airing such content where was the quality assurance department sleeping or is there any check and balance concept in PTV?
— Muhammad Aslam (@aslam_siachen) June 7, 2020
The best way is to roll this strict notice into a thin pipe, and shove it!
Do PTV employees not know what's the map of Pakistan?
Can they not draw it?
By hand and by memory?

Even though controversies for PTV are nothing new but this incident frayed the whole nation’s temper away. Further, this blunder puts a question mark on the credibility of the national television.
