Prince William and Wife Kate arrive in Lahore


Pakistan News: On the fourth day of the royal visit, Prince William, along with his wife Kate, visited Lahore and attended different events. The royal couple visited Badshahi Mosque, SOS Village, National Cricket Academy and Shaukat Khanum Hospital.

Governor Chaudhry Sarwar and Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar received the royal couple at the Lahore airport today.  Usman Buzdar and Sarwar also gave souvenirs to the couple.

Afterward, William and Kate paid a visit to SOS Children’s Village, where they told different stories to the orphans through finger puppets.

William and Kate also attended a birthday party of three kids in the Village. Kate gave a short speech at the event and wished the kids a happy birthday in Urdu.

Then the Duke and Duchess went to the National Cricket Academy. Upon their arrival at the academy, they were received by Ehsan Mani, the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Chief Executive of PCB, Wasim Khan, and some other officials. The couple also met some cricketers like Sana Mir, Azhar Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Waqar Younis at the academy who helped them try some batting.

The couple was given a cricket bat along with some other gifts for their children after the game. After receiving the gifts, an official said to them, “You must apologize to Prince Louis because the bat is bigger than he is”

The royal couple also visited the Badmashi Mosque and its courtyard in Lahore where Kate wore another stunning blue outfit. Afterward, they took part in a session with some religious leaders where they listened to the recitation of The Holy Quran and had a discussion on promoting interfaith harmony.

Afterward, the went to the Shaukat Khanum Hospital, where the CEO of the hospital, Dr. Faisal Sultan and some other officials received them. They met different children suffering from cancer at the hospital and also paid a visit to the department containing the hospital’s radiation machine.

Later today, the Royal Air Force Aircraft carrying the royal couple was stopped twice in Islamabad during a severe storm and was returned to Lahore.
