These horrible words come from a TikTok star Aleena Fatima, who stop posting anything due to body shaming.

Name-calling and rumor-spreading have long been an unpleasant and challenging aspect of social media star’s life. But the proliferation of smartphones and the rise of social media has transformed where, when, and how bullying takes place.

The story of Aleena Fatima

Aleena Fatima, a 24-year-old Pakistani Tiktoker, was so body shamed that she started thinking about suicide. During an interview with a television host Maya Ali, the Tik Tok star said:

“Body-shaming is one of the worst practices that is becoming a growing trend in Pakistan.”

While talking to Maya she breaks down in tears sharing that her videos went viral but only for wrong reasons.

Not only people call her a cow, but they also make fun of her family. Especially her brother and sister in law were bullied for making a video with her. Further, she said after my videos went viral, it becomes difficult for me to walk in a public place that people keep making fun of her and her videos.

Aleena said she wants to become a role model for those who are obese and chubby like her but full of talent also. She said she wanna let them know that they can follow there passion without thinking much about obesity.

Certainly, this world is cruel. She revealed, “Instead of words of encouragement and appreciating my talent, I was forced to stop posting online.”

Cyberbullying- A new trend

With the rise of social media and digital platforms, cyberbullying has made life difficult for many people. Due to this many give up on their dreams and passion. some went so far and ends up attempting suicide.
This disturbing cyber-bullying trend becoming more prominent among teenagers and it’s having devastating effects on them.

But because new social media sites and apps are constantly coming in and out of popularity it seems that just when we start to tackle one form of online bullying another emerges.
