Australian cricketer Ben Dunk put on a display of monstrosity in the 23rd match of PSL Season 5. He sent the ball out of sight for about a 12 times – 12 sixes ! The most number of sixes in a single match by a batsmen in PSL history. He became the hero for the ever ill-fated Lahore Qalandars team. And now, Pakistani cricket legend demands honorary citizenship for Ben Dunk. If that isn’t impressive, nothing else is.
Who Asked for It?
The outstanding performance of Ben Dunk forced the Pakistani Cricket Legend, Ramiz Raja to pass a very light hearted but extremely soulful remark. He found the idea of awarding Ben Dunk with honorary citizenship extremely appealing because of his sheer amount of talent and power. Ramiz Raja was a batsman for Pakistan Cricket Team from 1985 to 1997. He is known for his unique style of commentary, often full of humor and passion for the game.
Ramiz Raja on his Youtube Channel shared his opinion with that world that the Pakistani government should consider the idea of giving Ben Dunk an honorary citizenship. In this way, Ben Dunk can play for Pakistan Cricket Team and we can get a chance to witness power-hitting from the Pakistani batting line up. In his statement, he said that the only strong hitter Pakistan Cricket Team has so far, is Shadab Khan. He said that he really missed classy blows to the bowl from Pakistani batsmen.
Pakistani people welcomed this idea on the social media generously. It was quite hilarious to witness Naveid Siddiqui, the CEO of SAMAA TV, tweet about the situation. In his own words
A referendum in Lahore right now could very well unanimously offer Ben Dunk a Pakistani citizenship but perhaps also nominate him Chief Minister Punjab !!!

To receive such a remark by a legend is by no means an easy task to accomplish. But Ben Dunk deserves every bit of it. He has proved to be a lifeline for his ever-failing team. Lahore Qalandars had been losing all its matches till Ben Dunk stepped up and banged all the bowlers fiercely. His match-winning 99* runs innings put him under the spot-light. Because of his capabilities, the Pakistani cricket legend demands honorary citizenship for Ben Dunk from the government of Pakistan.
