Breaking News Pakistan: PAF F-16 jet crashes in Islamabad near Shakarparian during rehearsing for 23rd March Parade.

 

 

F-16 could not pull during dive during the loop and due heavy G load factor hit the ground. In this condition, the pilot gets blackout. 

Wing Commander Noman Akram OC 9 Sqn embraced Shahdat in Islamabad just now in an F-16 crash during the 23 march fly-past rehearsal.

 

Sources have affirmed that the rescue teams have been dispatched towards the site. Security forces surrounded the area of the crash.

 

 

According to an eye witness, this incident occurs around 11 am, Wednesday morning. Furthermore, after the incident, Army helicopters kept flying near the crash area.

 

 

PAF has confirmed this news by saying

“Pakistan Air Force reports with regret that a PAF F-16 aircraft crashed near Shakarparian, Islamabad during the rehearsals of 23rd March parade”.

 

Moreover, A board of inquiry has been ordered by Air Headquarters to determine the cause of the accident, the statement said.

People keep circulating the video of the crash which was caught in the eye of the cell phone’s camera. The crash of the jet may not be seen clearly but the smoke all around can be seen.

 

 

 

Many of the eyewitnesses said that they saw an F-16 crashing but didn’t see a pilot ejecting.

 

 

 

PAF has not issued any statement regarding the pilot. As per initial reports, WC Noman Akram, OC 9 Squadron embraced martyrdom in the jet crash.
