Neelum Muneer faces backlash

Neelum Muneer faces backlash for doing item number in upcoming film

Neelam Muneer’s item number for an upcoming film “Kaaf Kangana” just got released and she has already faced much backlash from people. This is her third appearance in a film after Chupan Chupai and Wrong No. 2.

“Khabon Main” is composed by Sahir Ali Bagga and sung by Aima Baig. It is true that the song has a decent melody and an appealing beat but the lyrics are hilarious and are the main reason for criticism.

Neelum took to her Instagram on Monday to post the song and she also wrote some lines to defend her act of performing an item song and told that it was the first and last time she did an item song. She wrote, “I did this song only because this movie is a project of ISPR. Perhaps this is the first and last item song of my life. But you all know that whatever I do, I own it and I do it with pride. Pakistan key liey mari Jan hamesha hazir hey. (I will do anything for the sake of my country)”

She further wrote, “I’m sure you all will go and watch this movie. Enjoy Kaaf Kangana!”

Neelam believes that the item number is her way of showing patriotism for her country. Or maybe, she has found a new and different way of dealing with this controversy. This apparent act of patriotism has landed Neelum in hot waters, only because her caption directed people towards different intentions behind the film’s making. At first, people were only criticizing her dance and the ridiculous lyrics of the song, but now fans are also dragging ISPR into this as the actress also mentioned them in her caption.

Most of the people on Twitter seem to be criticizing ISPR for using an item number in their film.

While some criticized Neelum for doing an item number.

However, some people on Twitter are also taking her side and supporting her by saying that it is not that big of a deal.

Starring Sami Khan, Ayesha Omer and Eshal Fayaz, film Kaaf Kangana, written and directed by Khalil ur Rehman Qamar is set to release on October 25.
