Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was shifted to the Lahore Services Hospital on Monday for medical examination after his doctor reported that his platelet count has been decreased due to multiple diseases. Security personnel, including the police, were sent to the hospital to monitor any adverse conditions in the hospital.
Shehbaz Sharif, President of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) and Captain Safdar, Son-in-Law of Nawaz Sharif have also reached the Services Hospital to see Nawaz Sharif. Shehbaz Sharif said that the fact that the government didn’t transfer the former prime minister to a medical hospital before is the worst example of political revenge and ruthlessness. He said, “If anything happens to Nawaz Sharif, we will blame Imran Khan for it.” Meanwhile, the police have also confirmed that they have arrested Capt Safdar for making an incendiary speech.
Before Nawaz Sharif was taken to the hospital, his private doctor Adnan Malik had tweeted that the platelet count of Nawaz Sharif was extremely low, which may be due to multiple diseases and he needed immediate hospitalization.
“Today met former PM Nawaz Sharif for consultation & evaluation. He’s visibly unwell & has multiple serious life-threatening health issues of acute nature. I’ve recommended immediate hospitalization for workup & treatment. The matter is of utmost urgency,” Dr. Adnan said
“Former PM Nawaz Sharif is detected to have critically low Platelet Count (16*10^9/L) that could be due to multiple pathologies & requires immediate in-hospital care. I’ve requested the concerned authorities to act in urgency please,” he further added.

Later, Nawaz’s doctor announced that his condition was better than before and everything is under control. He also told that Nawaz’s dengue test was also negative. Dr. Adnan said: “The platelets have been decreased allegedly due to medicines that make his blood thin.”
After Nawaz Sharif was shifted to the Services Hospital, many workers of PML-N gathered in front of the NAB office near Tihokar Niaz Baig, shouting slogans against officials of NAB officials and the government.
Nawaz Sharif is currently under the custody of NAB due to his alleged role in the Chaudhary Sugar Mills case.
