On Monday, Pakistan’s National Assembly considering the finality of prophethood passed a resolution. In the resolution, NA makes it mandatory to write “Khatam an-Nabiyyin” (the Last Prophet of God) with the name of Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) everywhere in textbooks and wherever it mentions.
Minister of State of Parliamentary Affairs and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader Ali Muhammad Khan presented the resolution in the National Assembly.

Brief details of the resolution
According to the details, Ali Muhammad said “The one who does not accept Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.W) as the last Prophet of God has already been declared non-Muslims in Pakistan.”
Further in his speech, Ali recites many verses of the Holy Quran about the finality of prophethood. Though, he did not point out any sector directly.
To exhibit the unity of political parties on such matters, Minister of State Ali Muhammad Khan says
“Parliamentary parties of all political parties voted in favor of the resolution.”
Hence, the National Assembly already approved the resolution. Now the Senate and the president of Pakistan will approve it. The President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi has the right to approve and make it a law.
Likewise, on June 15, The Sindh assembly has passed the same resolution unanimously. Muhammad Hussain of the MQM-P had presented the resolution. The resolution said,
“We all believe that the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W) is the last Prophet of God and Khatam-un-Nabiyyin must be written and read with the name of Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.W).”

This is not the first time in the history of Pakistan that political parties making a collective decision to pass such resolution. In the past, the founder of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and 9th Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto declared that
“The people of the Ahmadiyya sector are non-Muslims. Because they did not believe in the finality of the prophethood of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).”
