Maulana Tariq Jameel a well-known cleric apologized for his words he said against media at PM Imran Khan’s Ehsaas Relief telethon program.

Last night, M. Maalik invited Maulana Tariq Jameel on his show along with Hamid Mir and other eminent personalities. Maulana Tariq acknowledged his mistake by saying “He slipped his tongue” and apologized to the media unconditionally.

Maulana Tariq Jameel was invited on the Ehsas Telethon to make a Dua for the nation. Somehow his words about media create a buzz and turn this Telethon into a controversy.

Moreover, Maulana claimed on the National Television that Pakistani Media Channels are liars as well as foreign media.

In a long prayer at the end of the Ehsas telethon, which aimed to raise funds for the victims of the COVID-19, Maulana Tariq said one of the key issues involved was “not telling the truth”.

Further, Tariq Jameel told one of the incidents from his life when the owner of a private channel asked him for advice.

“I asked him to stop lying to the channel, to which he replied that if that happened, his channel would end, but not a lie.”

Certainly, Maulana’s words create a hustle all over the media. Hamid Mir, in his show, urged Maulana Tariq Jameel to declare the name of the Private channel’s owner who asked for advice.

The speech isn’t viral just because he said something about media. Besides this, he mentions the “Behaya Women” as they are the reason for this pandemic.

The Maulana in his speech had said:

“Who has torn honor to pieces in my country? Who makes my country’s daughters dance? Who is asking them to wear skimpier clothes? Whom should I hold accountable for this sin?”
