Islamabad: Alight Pakistan and Future Development Holdings have collaborated to build their first smart school in Islamabad, providing free education and life skills to out-of-school children.
Thus, Both Alight Pakistan and FDHL sign the agreement at FDH’s office in Islamabad.
However, the building for the school was designed by the late Zaha Hadid, a world-renowned architect. Although, the Doha-based Foundation for Education Opportunity (EAA) gifts it.
The foundation has recently partnered with Alight Pakistan and is financing the largest primary education initiative. They aimed at educating one million children who are out of school.
According to a UNICEF survey report:
“Pakistan has the second-highest number of out-of-school children in the world at 22.8 million. Making up 44% of the country’s population.”
The school will be located in Capital Smart City within the premises of “Community Development Hub.” This is the first equally innovative school as well as energy-efficient.
The representatives of both organizations show their true concerns on the occasion. Zahid Rafiq Group Chairman of FDH said that “Through this venture, the company wants to provide the benefits of the modern amenities of life to marginalized groups of society.”
Further, this partnership will be an effort to uplift and dignify children by providing quality learning free of cost, he added.
Subsequently, Country Representative of Alight Pakistan, Dr. Tariq H Cheema, exhibits some facts by saying:
“Over 22 million children in Pakistan, 10 percent of the total population, do not attend school for various reasons.”
