For instance, England has already announced the tour of Pakistan in October this year, and Australia and New Zealand are expected to follow suit tour within the next two years. Furthermore, as per Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) revelations, Pakistan is looking to host a major ICC event within the next ten years as well. Keeping that in consideration, the authorities have been working to increase the number of cricket stadiums in the country to accommodate these visiting teams.

One of the stadiums that caught the eye of the ICC was the Gwadar Cricket Stadium, which was attractive for its stunning beauty. Many people requested the PCB to turn this into an international stadium as the results would bear exceptional fruit. Similarly, another picturesque potential stadium is located in Pisan at Nagar in Gilgit-Baltistan, which was also asked by the people to be turned into one of an international standard.

Former fast bowler, Umar Gul, also shed light onto the said location by posting a picture of the ground on his official Twitter account. Gul requested the PCB and the provincial government to look at this as a potential venue for international cricket and provide the players who play there with all the facilities of an international stadium.

For this purpose of discussing the promotion of cricket, the obstacles that stand in its way as well as the matter of increasing the number of stadiums in the country, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani met with Gilgit-Baltistan CM Muhammad Khalid Khurshid Khan. In this discussion, the construction of the aforementioned cricket stadium in Nagar was decided.
