Pakistan will soon start electric motorcycles and rickshaws aiming to reduce carbon emissions in line with its ‘Green Pakistan’ campaign for a safer and less environmental pollution.

After addressing the Pure water issue ,  Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhary  now wants Eco-Friendly Rickshaws and Motorbikes in the Country. These will run on rechargeable batteries and cut the fuel cost.

Fawad himself drove the electric rickshaw and motorbike during this visit to the Pakistan Council for Renewable Energy Technologies (PCRET) on Saturday.

Speaking to the media he said that Pakistan is a country with large number of motorcycles, it would be great if we convert those fossil fuel consuming rides into electric motorbikes and rickshaws. This would help in preserving the environment and pollution caused by the  carbon emissions of these non environment friendly motor vehicles.

“Changes in electronic technology will reduce carbon in the environment”, added Fawad Chaudhry.

Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the “Clean Green Pakistan’ campaign last year. Pakistan is now aiming to fight against environmental pollution. Several preventive measures have been taken like billion tree tsunami , clean drinking water , use of electric vehicles and ban on plastic bags in several cities.

Seems like The Ministry of Science and Technology is a process of gradual achievement under the leadership of Fawad Chaudhary. Since the launch of Moon Sighting website earlier this year Fawad Chaudhary impressed a lot of people over these milestones he is achieving. The website not only tells the Islamic event dates from next 5 years but also help you see the moon direction & comes with a mobile app also.

These new generation motorbikes and rickshaws project will contribute a lot in saving the pollution if carried properly. Not only it would be cost & pollution friendly but will also make ways for bigger electric vehicles(Cars) to enter the market.
