‘Diriliş Ertuğrul‘ will now be airing in Pakistan [Air-date and Schedule]


Good news for Ertuğrul’s lovers, now you do not need to rush for Netflix and Internet connection. PTV is finally airing the famous Turkish drama series ‘Diriliş: Ertuğrul‘at 9 pm from the first Ramzan.


Pakistan Television will air the Urdu dubbed version under the name of ‘Ertugrul Ghazi‘. PTV already released its trailer of 46 seconds.


The drama will be on air at the time of ‘Taraweh’. For this very reason, PTV decides to broadcast the repeats at midnight and in the afternoon.



Diriliş: Ertuğrul‘known as ‘Turkish Game of Thrones, after it was dubbed in English. Dirilis has a vast and obsessive worldwide fan following in 60 plus countries. 



Apart from diaspora Muslims in the west. Certainly, this show has gained sweeping popularity in the Middle East, South Africa and surprisingly in South America.




Sources have affirmed that Diya Reham and Anjum Habibi are on the board for the voice-over in Urdu dubbing.


Ertugrul Ghazi’ is an action-adventure drama series. The story is based on the history of the Muslim Oghuz Turks, battling Mongols, Christian Byzantines, and the fanatic Knights Templar Crusaders


The story plot is all about the life of Ertugrul, the father of Osman I, the founder of the Ottoman Empire.



Not only Mehmet Bozdag is the writer and creator of Dirilis but also a brilliant filmmaker. He has the potential to combine the deep message of traditional Islamic beliefs.

Most noteworthy, In the United Nations General Assembly meeting, Imran khan has said that not only this drama should be aired worldwide but all five seasons should be dubbed in Urdu.



Further, PM Imran Khan, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammad discussed to set up an English language channel to cope with issues like Islamophobia and misconceptions about Islam and Muslims.

However, the Pakistan Entertainment industry was against the broadcasting of Turkish Dramas in Pakistan, but this drama is surely something else.
