With every passing day, Pakistan is facing the more frequent emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. The situation is getting perilous but people are not letting up their chance to make it worse.
A recovered patient of Coronavirus refused to donate his plasma because the patient belongs to the Shia Ahle Tashe sector. This is jaw-dropping news and heart wrenching as well.
The patient in his late twenties was admitted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). He was tested positive for Coronavirus and his condition was critical. He was in a need of plasma for recovery from the contagious virus.
However, with the help of some kind-hearted and concerned citizens, medical students, doctors, and other medical staff. Finally, the patient’s family succeeded in finding a donor for plasma.
When the donor received the information about the patient he immediately back out. The reason was quite stupid indeed. He refused to donate his blood plasma to the man because he belongs to the Shia sector.
Blood Plasma donation-A filthy business in Pakistan
Thus, no such thing proved useful for the cure of deadly virus but Plasma therapy serves as hope in this critical time. In Pakistan, this donating plasma thing is now shifting from ‘Sadqa-e-Jariya’ to nasty money-making business. Many of the patients are compelled to buy a bag of blood plasma in lacs. Donors all over Pakistan are busy exploiting the people in need and called this as a noble act.
Sadly, this is not the first time that people are busy taking advantage of others in need. Since the wave of pandemic hits the country, there was a sharp increase in the prices of self-protective. (Click here to read)
Twitter is full of such incidents and especially with the deals of donors with the patient’s family.
I am staggered to get to know that some Corona recovered patients in Pakistan especially Islamabad & Peshawar are selling their blood plasma for lacs and even up to 1 million.I wonder how can someone even think of this after experiencing this kind of a death-dealing infection. pic.twitter.com/RhvW8xNb8d

This is nothing new, both Shia and Sunni are in unnecessary arguments for centuries. Not only in Pakistan but in many other countries this rivalry is still on fire. In short, the conflict between the two sects led to heated arguments, debates, and violence.
Hence, divided we fall to the hell of hate, intolerance, violence, backwardness, and the Bronze Age.
