Chief Minister Punjab under its chairmanship meeting decided to implement section 144 across the province. On Sunday, the additional chief secretary of interior issued the notification on which states that Section 144 has imposed for 3 weeks.
The agenda of the meeting is to analyze the precautionary measures in order to prevent Coronavirus in Punjab.
The session also decided to cancel training at all police training centers across the province. All the private labs have been decided by the government to provide official kits for the Coronavirus test.
Moreover, there would be a ban on the admission of the teaching staff in educational institutions and all the educational institution will be closed until April 5. Buses carrying visitors from Iran and other areas will be disinfected.
The provincial government has decided to keep parks, zoos and picnic points closed for the public. Avoid gatherings and not more than five people are allowed to assemble for any purpose.
The Punjab government has set up a Coronavirus Care Center at the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Transplant Institute. Chief Minister Usman Bazdar personally visited the Corona Care Center and reviewed the arrangements in advance.
On the other hand, a high-level meeting was chaired by Health Minister Punjab Yasmin Rashid and Chief Secretary, Major Azam Suleiman, which directed a crackdown on the storage and handling of sanitizers and another personal protective across the province.
The first case of the Coronavirus has been confirmed in the provincial capital, Lahore. The infected patient returned from the UK on March 10.
According to spokeswoman Primary and Secondary Healthcare, the Corona virus-infected patient was hospitalized last night. The 54-year-old patient was taken to the hospital yesterday for symptoms.
Isolation wards are established in all hospitals of Lahore. 80% of Coronavirus patients recover until now. After Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi, hospitals in other divisions will be allotted to patients of Coronavirus.
According to the world meter, more than 56,455 people have died and more than 167,569 have been infected by COVID-19. Now the outbreak of Coronavirus shifted towards Europe. After China and Italy, Europe recorded a rapid rise in cases every day.
