Ayaz Sadiq landed in hot water for making baseless claims in favor of India

The Former Speaker of National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, was under the radar of media after he made some outrageous claims in Nationational Assembly on Wednesday.

In a response to PTI MNA, Murad Saeed, Ayaz Sadiq narrated an entirely fabricated story about the announcement that PM made about the release and subsequent repatriation of the disgraced Indian fighter pilot, Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.

Here is a full video of Ayaz Sadiq’s statement on the floor

“During a meeting of government and opposition, of which Prime Minister Imran refused to be a part of, that was also attended by Army Chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi came into the room, while his legs were shaking and he was sweating [out of fear], and begged before the opposition parties to let Abhinandan go back to India or else it would attack Pakistan at 9 PM.”

He said a meeting of parliamentary leaders was called by the premier the night the plane was shot down. But the prime minister sent the foreign minister instead, who told the leaders that Abhinandan would be released immediately. Whatever thought the PM had, or dictation, from whatever country, or if it was from Modi himself, it wasn’t shared, Sadiq said.

Imran Khan’s legs were shaking and he was sweating because he couldn’t face the opposition, said Sadiq. The meaning of this, only Imran Khan knows, he said.

Indian media outlets have accused Sadiq of saying Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa was forced to return Abhinandan because India had threatened to bomb Pakistan by 9 pm. They quoted him as saying General Bajwa’s legs were shaking and he was sweating.

Indian Media and Pakistani Public Reaction over Ayaz’s Statement

Sadiq’s remarks have widely condemned by both the government and the public, and his remarks are being hailed as a victory in India.

Ayaz Sadiq accused Indian Media of Twisting his statement

However, Ayaz Sadiq has retracted from his original statement after Indian media ran hours-long stories on it, the damage has already been done.

Sensing the gravity of the situation, Sadiq issued a video statement on Thursday to clarify that the Indian social media posts and TV channel reports about his speech were “totally contrary” to what he had actually said in parliament.

Shamelessly, the former speaker still stood by his words. He is still claiming that there are some factors that are hidden. These factors led Pakistan to announce the release of Abi Nandan within hours of his capture.

Moreover, Ayaz ended up his video by accusing the government of making a mountain of a mole-hill.

“Such irresponsible statements are being given only to gain political mileage”. Accusing the opposition of “misleading” the nation on Abhinandan and Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav.
