Many singers around the globe are carrying their ancestor’s legacy forward. Mujaddid Sabri, the elder son of the legendary Sufi Qawwal Amjad Sabri is all set to follow his father’s footsteps.

In the latest viral video, Mujaddid is singing with a group of musicians. In his soul full voice, he sings ‘Tajdar-e-Haram’ and leaves everyone stunned.

Surprisingly, his voice resembles a lot with his late father. Netizens are cheering him up and supporting him to perform professionally and looking forward to hearing more of his enchanting voice.

He chooses singing as his profession and kinda excelling in it. Mujaddid, affectionately known as Mujji, is ready to lead this group in the future with his spiritual voice. He is training very hard.

Amjad Sabri

Amjad Farid Sabri was born in Karachi in 1976. He was a son of Ghulam Farid Sabri and nephew of Maqbool Ahmed Sabri, The famous Sabri brothers. Amjad started his learning at the age of 9. He was a renowned Naat khawan, qawwal, and one of the proponents of the Sufi Muslim tradition.

Moreover, he emerged as one of South Asia’s most prominent qawwali singers, often reciting poems written by his father and uncle. His Tajdar-e-Haram was praised by millions of people all over the globe. Not only in Pakistan but the legend got a strong fan base all over the world.

The tragic death of Amjad Sabri

The nation lost Amjad Sabri on 22 June 2016. He was shot dead by some target killers on the way back to home from Ramzan transmission. However, police and paramilitary arrested his alleged killers who have confessed to the crime. His followers still haven’t recovered from the grief.

He was none the less the pride of the nation. In 2018, he was posthumously awarded Sitar-i-Imtiaz, the third-highest civil award for his services to the nation.

Amjad Sabri had 5 kids. He passed away and leaves everyone in deep grief but his legacy will continue to live on through his children. His eldest son Mujaddid Sabri is showing his natural talent through his voice. On the other hand, Amjad’s daughter Hoorain stunned everyone with her catchy TikToks.

This is a moment of pride for the Sabri family that three generations are serving the country with their melodious and spiritual voices.
